"Make it simple — Automate it!"
Founder, Otomakeit Solutions — Industrial Control Systems Engineer
Otomakeit Solutions Inc. was founded by Yuriy Mosiyenko, an industrial automation engineer with years of hands-on experience designing, programming, and commissioning control systems. Before starting the company, Yuriy spent years at an equipment manufacturer — designing control systems, writing PLC programs, and commissioning them on factory floors and in the field. That background shaped his focus on systems that work reliably and that your team can actually maintain.
Yuriy founded Otomakeit Solutions in late 2022 and began working in the business full-time in April 2023. Otomakeit is a solo specialist practice based in Bedford in the Halifax region. Yuriy supports food processing, marine and subsea, and manufacturing projects across Canada.
What drives Yuriy is straightforward: plant operators and maintenance technicians should be able to understand, troubleshoot, and maintain the systems he delivers. No black boxes, no mystery code. Just clean, well-structured automation that does the job and stays out of the way.
I have worked with Yuriy for many years now. First as a colleague, then as his manager, and now working together on projects with his company Otomakeit Solutions. Yuriy is a skilled electrical system designer, and PLC programmer. He is also very skilled in start ups, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Yuriy is dedicated to his craft, committed to his customers. He has helped me out of a pinch many times and continues to do so! Yuriy is also a thought leader in the world of PLCs and automation, and certainly one of the leaders in Atlantic Canada in this field.
Yuriy handles the design and control engineering side of your project: functional design, electrical documentation, PLC programming, digital twin simulation, and controls commissioning. Keeping that scope with one accountable specialist means fewer handoffs and a consistent path from design through testing. Whether it is a greenfield system or a migration from legacy hardware, Yuriy works through each phase methodically.
Yuriy’s primary platform is the Siemens ecosystem — TIA Portal for PLC programming (S7-1200 and S7-1500), WinCC for HMI and SCADA, and EPLAN P8 for electrical documentation. AutoCAD Electrical is also available when a project or existing drawing package makes it the better fit. He uses Git for version control and digital twin simulations to validate logic before commissioning. His drives experience includes ABB (ACS880, ACS800), Schneider, and SEW variable frequency drives. Yuriy is also exploring Siemens Simatic AX for modern, IT-like approaches to industrial control software development.
The key principle behind Yuriy’s work is that your team should be able to maintain the system without depending on him. That means clean code structure, thorough documentation, clear naming conventions, and no unnecessary complexity.
Otomakeit does not represent panel fabrication, electrical installation, or specialized site trades as in-house services. When a project needs those capabilities, Yuriy coordinates controls requirements with the customer’s contractors or with separately agreed independent partners and subcontractors. Design, programming, documentation, simulation, and remote support can be delivered remotely across Canada; commissioning and hands-on troubleshooting are planned as site work with travel agreed for each project.
Industry-standard platforms chosen for reliability, long-term support, and proven performance.
Oven controls, packaging lines, process automation
Winch control, vessel systems, subsea equipment
Production lines, quality control, industrial systems
When Yuriy takes on a project, you work directly with the person who designs, programs, tests, and commissions the controls scope. Outside trades remain with your contractors or separately agreed independent partners.
Yuriy is your direct contact for the controls-engineering scope from start to finish.
15+ years of focused Siemens experience on every project.
The specialist who writes the code also verifies it and leads the controls commissioning.
No bureaucratic approval layers. Changes happen fast.
Yuriy combines engineering experience with modern AI tools. AI can assist with routine work such as documentation scaffolding, code structure, and analysis, while Yuriy remains responsible for engineering judgment, system architecture decisions, verification, and validation.
On a recent commissioning project, simulation caught 18 issues before Yuriy arrived on-site. That meant less downtime during startup, fewer surprises, and a smoother handoff to the customer’s operations team. AI does not replace the engineering or accountability.
